Join the OSA Council of Advisors
The Office of the Seniors Advocate is seeking new members of its Council of Advisors. Council members represent their regions and provide important feedback to the Seniors Advocate about seniors’ issues in B.C. Application Deadline: April 30, 2023
Engage on B.C.’s Poverty Reduction Strategy
The B.C. government wants to hear your ideas on how to reduce poverty across the province and update TogetherBC: B.C.’s Poverty Reduction Strategy. If you have ideas about how to make more progress to reduce poverty, or suggestions about how the province can change legislation to better serve British Columbians, they want to hear from you. There are a number of ways to participate, from filling out an online survey to attending a town hall. Deadline: April 14, 2023
Join the BC Housing Accessibility Advisory Committee
BC Housing is creating an External Accessibility Advisory Committee made up of people with diverse backgrounds who have lived experience and/or have professional expertise with disabilities, poverty, and social housing.
The advisory committee will help BC Housing identify, remove and prevent barriers for people with disabilities who rely on their programs and services. Meetings will accommodate accessibility needs to support participation.
Provide Input on Seniors Housing in Vancouver
The City of Vancouver is hosting three pop-up events to ask seniors, older adults and caregivers about housing needs in Vancouver. Your input could help shape the city’s first Seniors Housing Strategy. Deadline: April 23, 2023

The National Seniors Council wants to hear from Canadians about ways to further support those wishing to age in their homes and communities for as long as possible. Participate by filling out an online or paper-based survey. Deadline: April 23, 2023
Seeking Your Opinion on Cancer Care for B.C. Seniors
The Cancer and Aging Research Engagement team is seeking feedback on improving cancer care for older adults in B.C. The team is surveying anyone who has/had cancer as a senior (65+) or cared for a senior with cancer in either a personal or professional capacity. This project is a collaboration with the UBC School of Nursing and BC Cancer.

Participate in a Study on Ageing and Mental Health
The University of Waterloo is looking for older adults (55+), family caregivers to older adults, and health care providers working in community care to answer a 15-20 minute survey about ageing and mental health. Survey participants can enter to win one of ten $50 gift cards. Deadline: April 20, 2023.
