The personal information you post may be collected by the Office of the Seniors Advocate under s. 26(c) and 26(e) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for the purposes of engaging and consulting with the public. Please be aware that any information collected may be stored and/or accessed outside of Canada on servers not belonging to the government. To protect your own privacy and the privacy of others, please do not include any personal information including phone numbers or email addresses in the body of your comment. Please do not share personal information about others, including pictures. Engagement and Moderation Policy
On the Office of the Seniors Advocate Facebook and Twitter accounts, all comments, retweets, tweets, shares, and Facebook posts are welcome, but we expect conversations to follow the conventions of polite discourse. Please review our official moderation policy and collection notice for our social media accounts.
The accounts are not monitored 24/7. Our business hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. Send us a message anytime and we will do our best to respond within 2 business day. For additional contact information, please visit our website at www.seniorsadvocatebc.ca.
To promote productive and respectful discussions, we require that all users respect the following guidelines.
Posts must not contain the following:
- graphic, obscene, slanderous, hateful, or racial comments
- photos or videos of people who have not given permission to have their image posted
- comments that intend to defame anyone or any organization
- personal, sensitive, or confidential information about any person.
The OSA reserves the right to block users who contravene the above and to delete comments that violate the above guidelines.
